The “Dornbusch” is the northernmost part of Hiddensee Island, west of Rügen Island in the Baltic Sea. Glacial boulders can be found on the coast with relics of the last ice age(s) at their surface. The photo shows parallel striae, which formed during the transport of the Baltic rocks within the ice of a glacier. The boulder seems to be a sandstone or quartzite eroded out of the till of the steep coast.
